The city has arrived, It's story has arrived (Part 1)

The usually bustling streets stay calm, making way for the inheritors as they march through. They don't care where they are supposed to walk; they don't care about right and wrong. They will make their own way: it's their way, its their life!

Funny that the assertive board hangs outside the bookstore and not the toy-store. Unity of the so called "intellectual and thought provoking" ones?

As two-wheelers have replaced cycles, Pune now becomes the city of motorbikes. The grim state of public transport compels commuters to own a two-wheeler. With rising pollution levels, women cover their faces while riding two-wheelers. The pattern has become so common that they have developed several ways to cover their faces. The trend has become so famous that they are now called the bandit queens of Pune.

A statement of past glory - Parvati

Pampering its alter ego, Pune at night seems altered. Much bigger, much brighter, competing with itself, trying to keep pace, undergoing a personality change! The intellectual capital waking up, coping with new realities.

  5. Creative idea I must say... Life and story of a city though pictures.... WOW! We too tried to initiate something on the similar lines last year through screenwriting workshop ( http://screenwritingindia.com/2009/06/20/chennai-alias-madras/ ) to show our love, affection and connection with Chennai.

But I guess to tell the story thorough pictures is more difficult as everyone has different perception of those pictures... loved the way you have narrated.... though I would like to have some different comments for 3rd picture "Now you can't see someone wearing scarf to cover the face as the Pune police have banned riders and pedestrians in the city from using a scarf to cover the face." (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/pune/Police-ban-use-of-scarf-to-cover-face-from-Monday/articleshow/5598243.cms)

Want to end commenting with the thought that in future you are bound to see the new face of Pune with Pune IPL team in IPL4.

  7. Good.

It is like Photo Caption stories in print media.

Hoping to see both facts and fictions on this platform. Fiction to entertain and facts to make impact, which lead to some change in city for it’s betterment.

Best wishes for a long journey.

This is a good way of showing how every individual looks at the same city from a different perspective ( a different objective in this context.. :P)
    Good efforts..
